Text
The venue in an indictment or information for conspiracy in violation of the provisions of this act [57-5-1 to 57-5-22 NMSA 1978], may be laid in the county in which the agreement was entered into, or in any county in which any overt act was done by any of the conspirators in furtherance of the common design or conspiracy. If the conspiracy is entered into within the jurisdiction of any court of this state, the parties thereto are triable in that jurisdiction, notwithstanding that the offense is to be committed outside the jurisdiction, or in another state. And if the conspiracy is formed outside the jurisdiction of any court of this state, and an overt act is performed in the furtherance of said conspiracy in the jurisdiction of any such court, the conspirators shall be tried and punished
