Text

A guardian ad litem appointed by the court in a proceeding pursuant to the Kinship Guardianship Act shall: A. in connection with a petition for guardianship, make a diligent investigation of the circumstances surrounding the petition, including visiting the child in the home, interviewing the person proposed as guardian and interviewing the parents of the child if available; B. in connection with a petition or motion for revocation of a guardianship, recommend an appropriate transition plan in the event the guardianship is revoked; and C. at a hearing held in connection with proceedings described in Subsection A or B of this section, report to the court concerning the best interests of the child and the child's position on the requested relief.
