Text

Any person who knowingly makes a false claim or a false statement in connection with a claim filed pursuant to the Crime Victims Reparation Act shall be guilty of a fourth degree felony and for conviction thereof shall: A. be punished by imprisonment in the state penitentiary for a determinate term of not less than one year nor more than five years; or by the payment of a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) or both such imprisonment and fine in the discretion of the court; and B. forfeit any reparation paid pursuant to the Crime Victims Reparation Act.
