Text
As used in the Special Education Ombud Act: A. "council" means the developmental disabilities planning council; B. "office" means the office of the state special education ombud; C. "parent" includes a legal guardian or custodian who has custody and control of a student or an individual who has legal authority to make educational decisions on behalf of the student; D. "state ombud" means the state special education ombud; and E. "student" means a public school student receiving or seeking special education services.
