funeral director. Should any funeral director accept payment from sources other than the income support division of the authority for burial of a deceased person for whom a claim for burial expenses has been made to the division, the funeral director shall immediately notify the division of the payment. The division shall consider the payment in determining the amount of any funeral expense payment it makes. If the division has already made payment, the funeral director shall refund to the division any excess over the amount that the division would have paid had it known of the payment from other sources.
