division; powers and duties. The state historic sites and monuments division of the cultural affairs department shall be entrusted with the protection and preservation of the old Lincoln county courthouse. The historic sites division shall: A. maintain and operate the historic site as a state museum of old Lincoln county; B. acquire and hold real estate in the name of the state; C. act in cooperation with the federal government or any of its agencies in preserving the historic site; and D. accept gifts, grants and donations from any person, firm, corporation, agency or any group of persons for the collections of the museum or the maintenance and operation of the historic site.
