Text

As used in the Campaign Reporting Act: A. "advertisement" means a communication referring to a candidate or ballot question that is published, disseminated, distributed or displayed to the public by print, broadcast, satellite, cable or electronic media, including recorded phone messages, or by printed materials, including mailers, handbills, signs and billboards, but "advertisement" does not include:

(1)a communication by a membership organization or corporation to its current members, stockholders or executive or administrative personnel;
(2)a communication appearing in a news story or editorial distributed through a print, broadcast, satellite, cable or electronic medium;
