§ 58:22-8 — 1 Continuous monitoring for compliance with C.58:12A-1 et seq.; altering of releases.

a.In order to ensure that safe yield is maintained and the drinking water quality standards adopted pursuant to the "Safe Drinking Water Act," P.L.1977, c.224 (C.58:12A-1 et seq.) are met, the Commissioner of Environmental Protection shall provide for the continuous monitoring of the impacts associated with releasing water from the Round Valley reservoir for the purpose of sustaining water recreational activities at the Spruce Run reservoir as provided in subsection a. of section 8 of P.L.1958, c.34 (C.58:22-8).
b.The commissioner is authorized to alter the releases of water from the Spruce Run reservoir or the Round Valley reservoir as provided in subsection a. of section 8 of P.L.1958, c.34 (C.58:22-8) as necessary to ensure the protection of the public health, safety or welfare, or
