The North Jersey water supply district, consisting of the counties of Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Passaic, Morris, Monmouth, Somerset, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union and Middlesex, and the South Jersey water supply district, consisting of the remaining counties of the state, created and established by an act entitled "An act to create two water supply districts in the state of New Jersey, to be known respectively as the North Jersey water supply district and the South Jersey water supply district," approved March sixteenth, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen (L.1916, c. 70, p. 128), for the purpose of municipal water supplies, and the commission appointed pursuant to said statute, are continued.
