§ 55:13A-10 — Construction of hotels or multiple dwellings; conversion or alteration; compliance with regulations

(a) Any hotel or multiple dwelling the construction of which shall be commenced, or any building not constructed for use as a hotel or multiple dwelling but the conversion or alteration of which to such use shall be commenced, subsequent to the effective date of any regulations required to be issued and promulgated pursuant to sections 7 and 8 of this act, shall be subject to, and shall fully comply with, said regulations. (b) Any hotel or multiple dwelling the construction of which shall have been commenced in good faith, or any hotel or multiple dwelling which is used or occupied, or any building not constructed for use as a hotel or multiple dwelling but the conversion or alteration of which to such use shall have been commenced in good faith, on or before the effective date of any regulations required to be issued and promulgated pursuant to sections 7 and 8 of this act, shall be subject to, and shall fully comply with, said regulations on or before the first anniversary of the effective date of said regulations.
