The county boards of taxation shall have all the powers formerly exercised by commissioners of appeal and local boards charged with the duty of reviewing taxes on appeal, under such rules as they may from time to time adopt, and shall perform all the duties formerly performed by county boards of equalization or other county boards charged with the review or equalization of tax assessments or tax lists, and all the duties formerly performed by the county boards of assessors, except as may be otherwise provided in this amendatory and supplementary act. Amended by L.1979, c. 499, s. 8, eff. Jan. 1, 1980.
