Text
Except as provided in section 3 of P.L.1983, c.403 (C.39:2-9.3), any member of the Division of State Police who has or shall hereafter serve continuously as such member for a period of five years shall thereafter continue in such membership during good behavior. The term "member" as used in this section shall be taken to mean and include all officers and men of the State Police except the superintendent, whose term is fixed by law. Amended by L. 1983, c. 403, s. 36, eff. Dec. 23, 1983.
