7.Hearings on appeals from decisions of the Victims of Crime Compensation Agency involving issues of victim compensation shall be conducted by the Victims of Crime Compensation Review Board in the following manner: a. Upon an application made to the board under the provisions of the "Criminal Injuries Compensation Act of 1971," P.L.1971, c.317, the board shall fix a time and place for a hearing on the application and shall cause notice thereof to be given to the applicant.
b.For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the "Criminal Injuries Compensation Act of 1971," P.L.1971, c.317, the board, or any member thereof, may hold hearings, sit, and act at times and places, and take testimony as the board or any member may deem advisable.
