Text
A person who violates a provision of this act shall be subject to a penalty of not more than $5,000.00 for each offense. The fine shall be collected in a summary proceeding under "the penalty enforcement law" (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.) instituted by the enforcement agency responsible for the enforcement of the "Uniform Fire Safety Act," P.L. 1983, c. 383 (C. 52:27D-192 et seq.), in the county, municipality or fire district in which the facility of the business entity is located. L. 1986, c. 142, s. 4, eff. Nov. 6, 1987.
