§ 52:27D-207 — Violations; written order to terminate and correct; injunction

a. If an enforcing agency discovers a violation of the provisions of this act upon an inspection of a building, structure or premises, then the enforcing agency shall issue and cause to be served on the owner of the building, structure or premises a written order requiring the owner to terminate, or cause to be terminated, the violation. The order shall state the nature of the violation and a reasonable specified period of time within which the violation shall be terminated. The order shall also require the owner to take or cause to be taken any affirmative action necessary to correct the violation. b. The enforcing agency may petition the Superior Court for mandatory injunctive relief enforcing an order issued pursuant to this act. The Superior Court may proceed in a summary manner or otherwise, and shall have power to grant temporary relief or a restraining order as it may deem just and proper, and to make and enter a decree enforcing, modifying, and enforcing as so modified, or setting aside, in whole or in part, any order issued pursuant to this act.
