Any resolution authorizing the issuance of notes or bonds hereunder may provide that any sums required pursuant to such resolution to be set aside by the school district for reserve or sinking funds shall be paid to the sinking fund commission of such school district, and all moneys so paid to such commission shall be held and applied by it only as in such resolution provided and shall not be commingled with any other moneys held by such commission. The provisions of chapter 3 of the title Municipalities and Counties (s. 40:3-1 et seq.), in so far as they relate to the creation, setting aside or maintenance of sinking funds and the investment, application and disposition thereof, shall have no application with respect to notes or bonds issued under this article or any reserve or sinking fu
