a. The commission is authorized to designate those offices and positions in Office of Legislative Services which for the purposes of the Unemployment Compensation law are major nontenured policy making or advisory positions. b. Officers and employees of the office shall be chosen subject to the approval of the commission without reference to political affiliation, solely on grounds of fitness to perform the duties of their office or employment and their employment and civil service status shall be governed by subsection d. of R.S. 11:4-4, except that:

(1)Any person holding office, position or employment in any department, board, commission or agency in the Executive Branch of the State Government, which is in the classified service of the civil service, who shall be appointed to any offic
