§ 51:1-105 — Penalty enforcement

New Jersey·Title 51 STANDARDS, WEIGHTS, MEASURES AND CONTAINERS
A penalty incurred for the violation of any of the provisions of this Title may be enforced pursuant to "the penalty enforcement law," (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.), in a summary proceeding brought in the name of the State by any weights and measures officer. All proceedings and all judgments arising therefrom shall be pursued and entered in accordance with "the penalty enforcement law," N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq., and the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey. Judgments recovered in favor of the State in any court may be docketed in the Superior Court and, thereafter, shall operate as a judgment obtained in that court.
