§ 5:8-82 — License suspension or revocation; penalties
New Jersey·Title 5 AMUSEMENTS, PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS AND MEETINGS
The commissioner shall have power to suspend and revoke licenses, after hearing, for violation of the law under which the license is issued or for violation of any provision of applicable law or of the rules and regulations made and promulgated by the commissioner. As an alternative to any other sanctions herein or otherwise provided by law, any such violator shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $250.00 for the first offense and not more than $500.00 for the second and each subsequent offense. The Superior Court and every municipal court shall have jurisdiction of proceedings for the collection and enforcement of a penalty imposed because of such violation, within the territorial jurisdiction of the court.
