It is hereby declared in the interest of the citizens of this State, to encourage the maintenance of continuing proficiency for registered active optometrists to the end that the utilization and application of new techniques, scientific and clinical advances and the achievement of research will be in the public interest. L.1975, c. 24, s. 1, eff. March 5, 1975.
