All examinations shall be written in the English language, and, except as otherwise provided in the exemptions contained in this chapter (45:9-1, et seq.), the questions shall be such as can be answered in common by all schools of practice. The examinations shall be in the following subjects: Pharmacology and therapeutics; obstetrics and gynecology; diagnosis, including diseases of the skin, nose and throat; surgery, including surgical anatomy and diseases of the eye, ear and genito-urinary organs; anatomy; physiology; chemistry; histology; pathology; bacteriology; hygiene; medical jurisprudence; and such other subjects as the board may decide.
