Text
The board of chosen freeholders may: a. Cause to be levied, assessed and collected from the municipalities of the county such sums of money as shall be deemed necessary at first and annually thereafter to provide suitable land, buildings and improvements for the welfare-house and for the maintenance thereof, and for all other necessary expenditures therefor, and the expenses of the county welfare board and its agents as authorized and required in this chapter; and b. Borrow money for the erection or purchase of such welfare-houses, and for the purchase of a site for such welfare-houses, on the credit of the county, and issue obligations therefor in such manner as it may do for other county purposes.
