a.This act may be cited as the "Work First New Jersey General Public Assistance Act." b. Whenever the term "General Public Assistance Law" occurs or any reference is made thereto in any law, contract or document, the same shall be deemed to mean or refer to the "Work First New Jersey General Public Assistance Act." c. Whenever the term "general public assistance" occurs or any reference is made thereto in any law, contract or document, the same shall be deemed to mean or refer to benefits provided to single adults and couples without dependent children through the Work First New Jersey program established pursuant to P.L.1997, c.38 (C.44:10-55 et seq.).L.1947,c.156,s.1; amended 1997,c.37,s.13.
