Text
In case of vacancy of an elected member for any cause, the commission shall, by a majority vote, appoint a person possessed of the same qualifications to fill such vacancy until the next election and at said election a successor shall be elected to serve for the unexpired remainder of the term vacated. Any member of the commission, excepting the citizen member, who shall leave the service of the city shall automatically cease to be a member of said commission. L.1954, c. 218, p. 811, s. 4.
