Text
Any employee entering the fund may at any time thereafter withdraw therefrom and shall be entitled to a refund of the moneys theretofore deducted from his salary hereunder. Where the employee leaves no widow, widower, or dependent children under 18 years of age, all moneys theretofore deducted from his salary for the retirement system established hereunder shall be paid to the person designated by said employee as his or her beneficiary and if no such designation has been made or if the beneficiary has predeceased said employee, all moneys deducted from his or her salary for the retirement system shall be paid to the estate of the deceased employee. Amended by L.1973, c. 345, s. 5, eff. Dec. 27, 1973.
