40A:9-95. Every sheriff shall enter into bond to the State of New Jersey and the county wherein he is sheriff, with sufficient corporate surety to be approved by the assignment judge of the Superior Court in the sum of $15,000.00, or in such greater sum not exceeding $50,000.00, as the said judge may order. The bond shall be conditioned that he will well and truly execute the office of sheriff of the county of (insert name of county) and faithfully, impartially and justly perform all of the duties pertaining to such office, with respect to the State of New Jersey, the said county and all persons concerned. The bond approved by the judge together with the oath of office, shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State of New Jersey and duplicates with the clerk of the board of chosen
