§ 40A:9-63 — County clerk; bond

40A:9-63. Every person who shall be elected clerk of a county, before entering into his office shall give his bond to the State of New Jersey and the county as their interest may appear, with sufficient corporate surety, to be approved by the assignment judge of the Superior Court in the sum of $15,000.00 or in such greater sum not exceeding $50,000.00 as the judge may order. The bond shall be conditioned that he will well and truly execute the office of clerk of the county of (insert name of county) and faithfully, impartially and justly perform and execute all of the duties pertaining to such office, with respect to the State of New Jersey, the said county and all persons concerned. The bond approved by the judge together with the oath of office, shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State of New Jersey and duplicates with the clerk of the board of chosen freeholders of the county.
