Text
The board of chosen freeholders of any county may, by resolution, create the office of county comptroller and fix his duties and compensation. The county comptroller shall be elected by the board for a term of 3 years. In any county in which the office of county comptroller is created he shall be responsible for rendering the reports and maintenance of the accounts otherwise required of the county treasurer. L.1971, c. 200, s. 1, eff. July 1, 1971.
