Text

Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the contrary, the governing body of each municipality shall determine the salaries, wages or compensation of the members of the governing body and the mayor or other chief executive in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S. 40A:9-165. The time within which an ordinance determining said salaries, wages or compensation shall take effect, and the procedure for protesting against the passage of any ordinance providing for an increase in said salaries, wages or compensation shall be as provided in N.J.S. 40A:9-165. L.1979, c. 131, s. 1, eff. July 6, 1979.
