Text
Except as otherwise provided by law the governing body of any municipality, by ordinance, may provide for the appointment of poundkeepers as needed. The governing body shall determine the number required and their qualifications, terms of office and method of compensation and prescribe their powers, duties and functions. L.1971, c. 200, s. 1, eff. July 1, 1971.
