Whenever in any law, rule, regulation, order, contract, document, judicial or administrative proceeding, or otherwise, reference is made to the board of assessors or assessment of a municipality, the same shall be considered to mean and refer to the municipal tax assessor. L.1981, c. 393, s. 33, eff. Jan. 6, 1982.
