Every person appointed by the Governor to fill a vacancy in the office of sheriff, before proceeding to execute his office, shall give the bond and take and subscribe the oath in the manner and form prescribed for a sheriff elect. L.1971, c. 200, s. 1, eff. July 1, 1971.
