Text

Emergency appropriations shall be made as follows: a. The board of fire commissioners of any fire district shall, by resolution adopted by not less than 2/3 of its full membership, declare that an emergency exists requiring a supplementary appropriation.

b.The resolution shall be in the form and content to be prescribed by the municipal governing body and shall set out the nature of the emergency in full.
c.A copy of the resolution shall be filed immediately with the governing body.
d.The resolution shall not take effect until the municipal governing body shall by a vote of not less than 2/3 of its full membership approve the emergency appropriation and certify its approval to the fire district. L. 1985, c. 288, s. 9, eff. Aug. 14, 1985.
