40A:14-78.

a.Any appropriation or other matter to be voted upon at an election held at a time other than at the time of the general election shall be in the form of a question, placed upon the ballot immediately following the names of the candidates for members of the board of fire commissioners, in substantially the following form: YES. (Question to be voted on) NO. The voter shall indicate his approval or opposition by making a cross (X), plus (+) or check (?) mark in ink or pencil in the appropriate square.
b.Any appropriation or other matter to be voted upon at an election held at the time of the general election shall be in the form of a question placed upon the ballot in accordance with the requirements of Title 19 of the Revised Statutes. amended 1994, c.77, s.21; 2017, c.206, s.1
