2.Unless an exception is provided for under section 15 of P.L.1971, c.198 (C.40A:11-15) permitting a longer contract duration, contracts awarded pursuant to section 5 of P.L.1999, c.440 (C.40A:11-4.5) may be for a term not to exceed five years. L.1999,c.440,s.2.
