Text
Every municipal tax collector shall hold his office for a term of 4 years from the first day of January next following his appointment. Vacancies other than due to expiration of term shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term. Nothing herein contained shall affect any of the provisions of Title 11 (Civil Service) of the Revised Statutes. L.1971, c. 200, s. 1, eff. July 1, 1971. Amended by L.1979, c. 384, s. 14, eff. Feb. 5, 1980.
