Text
Notwithstanding the provisions of N.J.S. 40A:9-1 or any other law to the contrary, the governing body of any municipality may, by ordinance, appoint to the office of director of public safety a nonresident of said municipality. L.1973, c. 128, s. 1, eff. May 14, 1973.
