Text
The governing body of any municipality, not owning a water system, may, by ordinance, provide for the construction, at the expense of the municipality generally, of an extension to any then existing water system for the purpose of supplying water service to any public school or municipal building within said municipality and for the furnishing of water service to such public school or municipal building by means of such extension. L.1945, c. 37, p. 95, s. 1, eff. March 14, 1945.
