The clerk of the governing body shall, immediately after the ordinance becomes effective, serve upon the officer charged with the duty of preparing the ballots for the next general election in the municipality, a certified copy of the ordinance, and he shall print the question upon the ballots in substantially the following form: "Shall the of (name of the municipality) engage in the business of transportation as described in an ordinance of the (name of governing body) of the of (name of the municipality) entitled (title of ordinance), passed (date of passage of ordinance)?" "Yes." "No."
