Establishments or places of business where work is done for, with or without compensation by any person, which work is usually performed by hairdressers, cosmetologists, cosmeticians, or beauty culturists upon women, for the purpose of cleansing and beautification of the women's hair, such as arranging, modeling, dressing, brushing, beautifying, curling, waving, straightening, dyeing, tinting, permanent waving, cutting, singeing, bleaching, or coloring; and the massaging, cleansing, stimulating, exercising or similar work upon the scalp, face, arms, hands, and neck, with the hands or by use of mechanical or electrical appliances, with or without cosmetic preparations, external applications of creams, tonics and soothing lotions, and antiseptics for the use with instruments or with the hand
