§ 40:41A-12 — Report and publication of findings

The charter study commission shall report its findings and recommendations to the citizens of the county on or before the end of the ninth calendar month next following the date of its election in the form of a final report which it shall file with the county clerk. It shall cause a sufficient number of copies of its final report to be published and delivered to the county clerk, who shall distribute it to all elected county and municipal officials. In addition, there shall be printed and made available at cost to the public at large a number of copies equal to at least 1% of the county's registered voters as of forty days before the most recent previous primary or general election. The commission shall publish on two successive weeks in the manner provided by section 142 of this act the full text of the proposed charter, together with a summary of its findings and recommendations, a summary of the provisions of the plan, if any, which it recommends for approval, and an analysis of and commentary upon such plan.
