Text

The county clerk shall cause the question to be submitted at the general election occurring not less than 60 days next following the filing of the petition, or, if there be no general election with 120 days next following the filing of the petition, then at a special election occurring not less than 60 days and not more than 120 days next following the filing of such petition. At such election, the referendum question shall appear on the ballot in the same manner as other public questions are printed on the ballot. L.1972, c. 154, s. 21, eff. Sept. 19, 1972.
