If it shall appear on the hearing that all damages sustained by reason of the forfeiture of the bond have been paid so far as the surety shall have been able to ascertain, the court may direct that the action be discontinued upon payment of taxed costs of the suit. L.1981, c. 405, s. 3B:15-31, eff. May 1, 1982.
