Text

1.Upon the application of any disabled veteran eligible to operate a motor vehicle in this State under the provision of R.S.39:3-10, the Director of the Division of Motor Vehicles may issue for a motor vehicle owned or leased by such a person a license plate bearing the term "Disabled Vet" and registration numbers to be selected from the following registration numbers which shall be reserved for disabled veterans: D V 1 through D V 9999 and 1 D V through 9999 D V. The plate shall resemble the following illustration: NEW JERSEY DV1 DISABLED VET For the purposes of this section, "disabled veteran" shall mean any citizen and resident of this State now or hereafter honorably discharged or released under honorable circumstances from active service in any branch of the Armed Forces of the Unite
