1.
a.The second week of May in each year shall be designated as "First Aid Week" in the State of New Jersey in recognition of services rendered by first aid volunteers.
b.Each year during the second week of May designated as "First Aid Week," an award for First Aid Volunteer of the Year shall be presented by the Governor, for the individual's dedication to service and volunteer assistance.
c.Nominations for the award shall be submitted by the president of any county or municipal first aid, rescue, or emergency squad in the State at any time during the year to the Governor, with a written statement setting forth the reasons for the individual's nomination. As used in this act, "first aid, rescue, or emergency squad" means any duly incorporated first aid and emergency or volunteer ambulan
