2.The Department of Labor shall annually determine which municipalities qualify as resort municipalities and determine and certify the annual mean population of resort municipalities. This information shall be transmitted to the Office of the Attorney General by March 31 following the end of the reporting year for use in the preparation of per capita crime statistics pursuant to section 4 of P.L.1966, c.37 (C.52:17B-5.4). The first determination shall be made as soon as practicable, but no later than one year after the effective date of this act. L.1998,c.50,s.2.
