8.Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary concerning primary parole eligibility dates and parole release dates of juvenile inmates, whenever a person successfully completes a juvenile offender rehabilitation program established and maintained pursuant to this act, the sentencing judge shall determine whether that person shall be required to serve parole. L.1997,c.81, s.8.
