1.The Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services in the Department of Human Services, to the extent permitted under federal law, shall authorize a recipient of Medicaid benefits who is determined eligible to receive a personal care service benefit and who is attending a post-secondary educational institution and residing on that institution's campus to participate remotely by telephone or other means in a meeting of a non-medical nature regarding the recipient's Medicaid benefits. The provisions of this section shall apply to any meeting between the recipient and the division, a managed care organization contracted with the division to provide benefits under the Medicaid program, or any other entity or individual authorized by the division to conduct such meetings.
