The commissioner shall report to the Governor and the Legislature, at least once each year, which report shall include a summary of its activities for the preceding year and any recommendations or suggestions for legislative consideration. The commissioner shall meet at least once a year with representatives of the statewide recognized professional societies of each of the providers of all of the medical services for the purpose of hearing suggestions on a continuing basis for the improvement of the administration and operation of this act, the commissioner shall report these suggestions to the Governor and the Legislature.
