Text

This act shall be liberally construed. Any particular grant of power contained in this act shall be held to be in specification but not in limitation of general powers. Nothing in this act shall be construed as repealing any other law or part of any law providing for the settlement, relief, assistance and support of the poor, except in so far as inconsistent therewith; nor shall the provisions contained in this act be construed to repeal other provisions of the law not inconsistent herewith. Nothing in this act shall operate to repeal or nullify the provisions of Title 11 of the Revised Statutes (11:1-1 et seq.). L.1951, c. 138, p. 579, s. 10.
